A DISGRACE TO CIVILISATION. Australian and N.Z, Cable Association. SYDNEY, November 17. A bitter moral crusade is proceeding. Many letters are appearing in the papers, directed particularly against women’s daring dress. Father O’Reilly openly attacks race suicide. He says that Australia is rapidly becoming like France, which had. cast off the Church. Unless the nation retraced its steps, it would be on the road to extinction.' Referring to the number of divorces, he added: We are vapidly, as a nation, becoming a disgrace to civilisation.
