GO OUT ON STRIKE. 1 (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 15. The botchers went on strike to-day, but a number of shops did business as Usual, Over two hundred Unionists marched * from. Hobson Street to Hellaby’s big 1 shop in Shortland Street, where the ' manager and the manager of one of the firm’s branches were working. They counted out the manager, and broke a plate glass window. Twenty-seven police soon arrived from the central station, and a detachment of mounted police in motor cars maintained order. The strike is pretty general in city and suburbs. A CORRECTION. AUCKLAND, November 15. It appears that Hellaby’s window was not deliberately broken, but was smashed by some of the crowd being pushed against it.
