THE WANGANUI SEAT. A rally under 'the auspices of the N Z. Labour Party was held in Maria, place last evening, though the hour of Martin" was unavoidably delayed until S o’clock. Mr Openshaw presided, and there was a fairly large gathering. Addresses were given by Messrs Rogers and Miller. , ~ , , , Mr L. Mollvride is advertised to speak in the A.B.C. Hall, Aramoho, on Monday night. RANGIIIKEI SEAT. MR BRADY AT MAKHUXIRI. Mr Bi;adv, Labour candidate, addressed a ineetin" of electors at Makirikiii last evening, and had a very attentive and enthusiastic audience. At the conclusion of his address, Mr Avery moved, and Mr Brown seconded, that a hearty vote of thanks be given Mr Brady tor his address. This was carried unammovsly- Mr Brady left for Taihape after tho meeting. WATDOMO., ' The Waitomo electors are talcing keen interest in, the forthcoming elections, ilidding by the large attendances at meetings called by Mr W. T. Jenningsj the sitting member. At Te Rum ana Otorohauga there were full houses when the member spoke. The matter of deducting one months’ pay from soldiers’ gratuities was mentioned by Mr Jennings at Otoroha.nga, and he has asked for°an explanation. Votes of confidence in the member were carried at To Kuiti and Ctoiohanga with enthusiasm. 1
