ORANGE BLOSSOMS.

ABEOTT-CAEYELL. A pretty wedding that created considerable interest took place at St. Mary's "Church 1 , Wanganui, on Wednesday, the contracting parties being Mr Geo. W. Abbott, eldest son of the late Mr J. A. Abbott, of this town, and Miss Eileen Garvell, only daughter of Mr W. L. and Mrs Carvell, of Springvale. Tho brid->, who was given away by her father, looked charming in a gown (with train) of satin with overdress of georgetta; a handsome hand-worked veil fell from a wreath of eilver and cluster of orange bloesom. She carried a sheaf of roses. The bridesmaids were Miss E;ly Branghen (Blenheim), Miss Rita Carvell (cousins of the bride), and Miss Aileen Collins. Miss Braughen was tastily dressed in a dress of shell-pink satin outlined with pale blue georgetta, and wore a diamond pendant and chain, the gift of the bridegroom. The little bridesmaids carried baskets of pink and white carnations, and wore dresses of blue silk, and cream hats. They also wore gold brooches, the gift of the bridegroom. Mr Fred Locker (Patea) was best man, and Mr Leon Carvell and Mr W-. Adams (Hawera) were groomsmen. ' The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father Menard, and the happy pair left the church to the strains of the "Wedding March," played by Miss Beyre Rodgers. Afterwards a reception was given to a large number of friends at the residence of the bride's parents. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Abbott lefb by motor-car for Hawke's Bay, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Tho presents were numerous and costly.
