AUSTRALIA’S WAR BURDEN.

The New York World editorially says; Mr Hughes is correct in saying that had America been given a chance to express her opinion she would not have favoured the Fourteen Points, hut insisted bp a victorious peace. The Allies renounced their right to present a Bill for the general cost of the war by accepting President Wilson’s points. This burdened Australia with general war debts for generations to come.
