PURCHASED BY AN AUSTRALIAN Mr J. Donald, of Westmere, has recently sold two of liis wellknown Friesian cows at a big figure to go to Australia. Mr Eric Lloyd-Jones has purchased Woodcrest Johanna Tehee and WestmerosNetherland's Princess IV.'s daughter for 500 guineas each to go over the other side. He has certainly secured two very fine animals that will b.i a credit to any Australian herd. Woodcrest Johanna Tehee is by Woodcrest Johanna Pietje, out of Woodcrest Je'ssie Tehee, and has two semi-official records to her credit—one at 8 years 248 days of 544.91b of fat and one at 4 years 325 days of 7451b, the third highest New Zealand record. The other cow is by Netherland Duke de Kol, out of Netherland Princess IV., and has also two semi-official records, one at 2 years 189 days of 403.7Q, and the other at 3 years 270 days of 505.24 in 285 das. Mr Donald recently added to his herd some very fine cows, of pure American blood that, he purchased "from Mr Parkinson, of Opotiki.
