PROHIBITION IN CANADA.

Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. OTTAWA, November 12. The House of Commons amended the Prohibition measure, transferring' to the provinces the control over imports hitherto administered by the Dominion Government. The result will be a wet spell for Canada during the next few mouths, because imports will be allowed, as far as the Dominion Government is concerned, and the provisional enactments cannot he enforced until referenda of the electors are taken in particular provinces.
