D’ANNUNZIO’S LATEST OFFER, READY TO FIGHT ANYONE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Received November 13, 11.30 a.m, ROME, November 13. D’Annunzio has asked the Italian Government to declare the necessity of submitting the entire Piume problem to the Paris Conference without the Italian Government taking any part in the discussion. D’Annunzio adds that, finding himself face to face with the Allies, he was prepared to meet war with war from whatever direction. Signor Orlando, speaking at Palermo, affirmed that both England and France supported Italy throughout, and adds: Italy cannot break with the Paris Conference, nor yield her legitimate demands.
