Received July 5, 11.50 a.m. BRISBANE, July 5, lu evidence before the Sugar Commission, Dr. Lambert, the Rockfeller Foundation’s representative, stated that hookworm was a menace to the growth of sugar production, and not only to the development of the but also to the fertility of the species. People infected found their working capacity impaired to the extent of from forty to fifty per cent.
