FOOTBALL.

QEEN'S PARK OLD BOYS. A proposal is on foot to form a club of Queen’s Park Old Boys. At a meeting the other day the proposal to form a club was adopted, the colours selected being black jersey with yellow band. Mr L. Ansley was elected as captain of the team, while the position of vice-captain and secretary were filled by the election of W. Foweraker and C. Rosser respectively. Several matters incidental to the forming of a club were left in the hands of a committee. Air Browning was appointed the club’s delegate to the W. R. Union. ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL. ,Now that the full time whistle has gone in the great war followers of the Association game are getting ready for a hig boom. When the war started it was decided to stop play until it was finished, most of the players getting into the big game early. With a number of the old players already back, and others coming on every transport, prospects for the season are very bright. There is also a lot of new blood in town. The general meeting will be held shortly, particulars of which will be given in our advertising columns later.
