Stakes—Hymestra 1, Karo 2, Impediment 3 Scratched ; Bell Boyrte and Spanner. Won bv three lengths. Time, 1.20.
If the weather is fine, Desert Gold and Biplane will meet at Ellerslie on Juno 10. 'This, however, does not refer to the actual champions, but to a couple of animals masquerading in their names, who will contest the donkey -•vent at the big patriotic carnival to be held on that date. An assurance is given by the trainers that neither will be withdrawn.
