THE POSITION IN PALESTINE.
NO CAUSE FOR ANXIETY. BRITISH HOLD ALL GAINS. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) Received October 4, 9.25 a.m. LONDON, October 3. Officers from Gaza state that they are surprised to find that there Is an impression in London that the position is unsatisfactory. On the contrary, the British have not yielded a yard during the last six months, but hold the conquered territory, and have successfully fought plagues. The medical services are good, and frequent leave is given to men to go to the rest camps at Port Said* The casualties have been negligible.
