BRITISH PROGRESSING STEADILY (Australian and N.Z. Cable Services.) LONDON, October 3. East African official.—We are steadily progressing south-west of Lindi. We repulsed strong counter-attacks. A German detachment of 15 Europeans and 160 native troops, with several carriers, surrendered south-east of Kondo-airangi.
