The Dally Mall strongly urges aerial reprisals on Germany. It says thef recent Invasions of England have been only on a small "scale, and London]s guns will be unavailing against more numerous and more powerful invasions in the near future. The Times says that the public demands a great air fleet capable of carrying the war into Germany. The air raids into Britain are likely to be now continuous, whether ths nights afe moonlight or dark. ' THE CASUALTIES. (High Commissioner’s Cable.) LONDON. October 1. ' The''High Commissioner cables:— Lord French reports that in Sunday’s air raid nine personsn were killed apd 42 injured. % In London two persons were killed, these being the only casualties. ■ An enemy machine was brought down at Dover. The New York Herald confidently predicts that aeroplanes will soon cross the Atlantic. A great Italian Caprpni triplane will probably make the flight late in the spring. American manufacturers are preparing to ~ make 1000 battle planes to cross., the Atlantic and attempt to destroy the German fleet at Kiel. A recent performance^by a Caproni machine here was remarkable. An American scientist has discovered a method of guiding aeroplanes by aerial waves. The United States can assure the Allies that an endless, stream of planes will soon be crossing the ocean. Some great hydro-aeroplanes now building may also essay the trip.
