MINISTERS ON THE WEST COAST. (Per United Press Association.) WESTPORT, April 16. Sir James Allen and the Hon. D. SMcDonald are to-day visiting the colliery townships of Denniston, Granity, and Ngakawau, in connection with the miners' strike. CHRISTCTI URCH. April 16. At a big meeting of Labour supporters last night to discuss the municipal elections and the Labour outlook, reference was made by Messrs Webb and MeCombs, M's.P., to the miners on the West Coast. The meeting passed a unanimous vote. "That this meeting of Christehurch citizens sends greetings to the miners, and offers homes to their wives and children if they send them over." It was stated that arrangements were in hand to house a thousand women and children if necessary.
