AUSTRALIA'S BUTTER SERVICE.

A POOL INITIATED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. Eeceived April 14, 10.50 a.m. MELBOURNE, April 14. The Federal authorities have initiated a butter pool to enwure adequate supplies for local requirements during the winter, whereby the States will contribute 60,000 soxes. A committee controls the output of factories, which will continue to sell 80 per cent, to agents at local sales in the ordinary way. The balance, 20 per cent., mu«t be consigned to cold storage under export condition*).
