AMUSEMENTS AND MEETINGS

GARRISON BAND CONCERTS. The Garrison Band bad a busy day yesterday. At 1.4-j they headed their regiment in a march through the town and back to camp. At 4.1-"> the hand •';:ved the Wangauui quota of the 28th Reinforcements from the Brill Hall to the railway station, and played approoriate airs' at the station till the train moved off. At 6 o'clock the. band asserabed in camp again, and payed a programme while the officers were at mess, and concluded with a number of well-known and patriotic airs, to the evident delight of the large number of Territorials in camp. The band received quite an ovation, and it must have been most gratifying to Mr Trusscll and the mei.-ibers of the band to receive such tmaaimonr, expressions of uuproval from both officers and men at the excellent work done by the baud in camp and the tine quality of the music given.
