WAR WORK.

Tie sub-centre rooms of the N.Z. and British Red Cross Society had a busy day on Wednesday. The ladies are putting out some excellent work, which is being regularly sent to Wcllingtos Central! The following list is one month's turnout:—s3 lounge suite, 114. nets pyjamas, 43 day shirts, 8 singlets, 57 pairs hand-knitted day socks, 16 pairs hand-knitted bed socks, 7 pairs slippers, 3 mufflers, 4 pairs mittens, 4 white night shirts, 7 flannel bed shirts, 18 doz. face washers, a large number of bandages and old linen.
