SOFT DRINKS ON SUNDAY.

(Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, April 12. In the Auckland Court to-day Mr Kettle delivered judgment in cases of which fourteen keepers of soft drinks shops and restaurants -were charged with Sunday trading, in that they sold soft drinks" Judgment was that t&ough no objection could be taken to the supply o. soft drinks with meals or afternoon tea, the supply of such by themselves could not be considered a work of necessity. As the practice had been tacitly permitted for a number of years, the magistrate imposed no penalty, entering a conviction only.
