At the conference of the Country Wheat Agents' Association it was stated that a large numbers of farmers were compelled to sell out and ©eek more profitable occupations. There would only be half the acreage under wheat next season as compared with last year. The Director of Recruiting states that the enlistments for the Commonwealth for the first three months of 1917 totalled 15,263.
