CHRISTCHURCH, March 29. • Sir James Alien, interviewed, said that he was gratified by teyalty of the people of the Dominion in the manner in which they faced the tasks caused by the war. I#, Be paid a tribute to the National EffiC eieaey Board members, and said he ■' would be aide in a few dayk to appoint . members for the financial assistance of the Board. The names would be submitted to Cabinet to-day, and wonld be *> made known as soon as the Board's duties. He wonld consider applications for extra financial help from soldiers. The Board will probably begin work in - 1 a week’s time.
