INDIAN WAR LOAN
MERCHANT'S CONTRIBUTION. LONDON, March 12. The Bombay correspondent of the Times says that Surnpchand Hukumchand, a great Bombay mnerchant, has subscribed 90 lakhs of rupees, about .£484,000, to the war loan. The entry of conservative native houses into this loan on this scale is a most significant indication.
