The return match between Wanganui and Oroua juniors was played at Cook’s Gardens on Saturday, the home side winning by eight wickets. Wanganui batted first on a fast wicket and compiled 217, the principal scorers being White 63, Wood 44, Butcher 42, Richdale 16 (not out), Macken 11, Earles 15. James top-scored with 34, but Watson with 33 again batted well. EigEt bowlers were tried at the crease, and seven of them claimed a victim.
