CHRISTCHURCH, January 29. Peter Scott Ramsay, a young man, president of the Anti-Conscription League, who was drawn in the first ballot, was arrested yesterday and charged at the Court to-day with seditious utterances. He pleaded not guilty, asked for a remand till Thursday, bail, and to be tried by a jury. The Court granted the rtmiand till Friday, but refused bail, and said it had no jurisdictnn as to trial by jury.
