The Sydney Morning Herald, in a remarkable leader on the Federal political situation, expresses its weariness of finesse and intrigue which is preventing the formation of a national party. The paper declares it is an organised at-j tempts to prevent the Prim© Minister,:, the /Hon. W. M. Hughes, from going to London as the. Commonwealth’s repre-i' sentative. Continuing, the article says: “It has become apparent that the in--liuential Liberals' are lending themselves to this unworthy scheming. It is even suggested that the Tudor forcesoffered to give their loyal support toLiberals if they would only consent totake over the Government and tilrn the’ Hughes’ party out.” - :
