GENEROUS GIFT.

SECTION AT KAI l.vl, FOR PATRIOTIC .FUNDS. V • A unique opportunity is to be offered the public, or, to be precise, some fortunate member of the public, of securing a freehold section at popular Kai Iwi beach, for a most modest outlay. Messrs Charles and Herbert Duigan have generously donated a section there valued at £IOO for the conjoint funds of the Military Hospital Guild and the Red Cross Depot, two local organisations of lady workers which are doing most excellent patriotic work. It is proposed to dispose of the section by art union, and application with that object in view is being made to the Minister for Internal Affairs. When the official sanction is secured the art union will be immediately proceeded with. With the object of making the art union attractive, in order to assist the patriotic object as much as possible, the interested ladies would be very pleased if sympathetic helpers would donate additional prizes of a similar nature.
