An East African communique says: German forces which were dislodged from Tabora have been endeavouring to break through to Mahenge. Confused and severe fighting has occurred in the direction of Iringa since Octoter 22. A small detachment of Rhodesian police, under Colonel Baxindale, was ambushed and suffered heavily.
