FIGHTING SOUTH OF STRUMNITZA. The High Commissioner cables.— LONDON. October 25. The French engaged the Bulgarians on Thursday towards Rabrovo. 14 kilometre* south of Strumnitza. The village remains in our hands. Our losses were light. FIGHTING RESUMED. Received October 26, 9.0 a m. ATHENS, October 25. The French at Strumnitza lost 31 hilled and 250 wounded. Fighting has been resumed at Derairkapon, and an Intense artillery duel la proceeding. BULGARS AGAIN REPULSED. Received October 26, 9.0 a.m. LONDON, October 25. A French official communique states: The first Franco-Bulgarian encounter took place on the 21st at Rabrovo. and was not favourable to the enemy, who attacked again on the 22nd on a larger front, but were repulsed again on a larger scale.
