BOY SCOUTS.
At All Saints' schoolroom. Eastown, on AVeduetday night, the W anganui East Boy Scouts tendered a social to Miss Robertson, who is about to be married. During the evening, District Commander Matthews, on behalf of the Scouts, presented Miss Robertson with a silver mounted soap box. A very enjoyable evening was spent, songs, rceitatious and pianoforte solos passed the time away. Supper was handed round to all present. Thanks are due to Mrs Kendrick, who so kindly helped to make tho evening a sms- also to all parents and friends of the Scouts who camo along. 'The Scrut movement in Wanganui i.i going ahead, and every parade night new hoys want to join. 'Hie district commander would be very pleased to receive the names of any young men who would assist him, for without help »o more boys can join. Hoping each Scout remembers to do at least one ecod turn a day.
