He says we want a torrent of recruits to give a defiant message to Germany, and to pouf men into the field until Victory is won. The Canadian emigration officers in London are not assisting slackers to escape enlistment, and the latter have been told that Canada has no room for them at present.—Times and Sydney Sun Services. Lord Derby has addressed a personal appeal to every man of military age not marked for other war services, asking him to re-consider whether the reason he has hitherto not enlisted holds good in the present crisis.
