The well-known F. and S. liner Kent is now undergoing an extensive overhaul at London, and in addition more insulated spare is being provided. In continuation of her voyage from Wellington to Loudon, the Tongariro left Durban last Saturdav. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Rotorua is due at Wellington on Sunday from Lyttelton to complete Homeward loading. The vessel is to leave Wellington next Thursday for London via Monte Video and Toneriffe. According to a southern exchange the Monowai. at present running in the Lyt-telton-Wellington ferry service, is to be withdrawn in about a fortnight's time. The Teasel will replace the Warn moo in the Auckland-East Coast service, and the Mararoa, at present laid up at Auckland, will replace the Monowai in the ferry service. Continuing her Journey from Montreal, via way porta, t'ne New Zealand Shipping Company'* Whakatane left Sydney for Auckland on Monday. Wellington will be visited about September 10. Bound from London for Wellington, the Fhaw-Sarilt steamer Arawa left Capo Town on Monday. August 30. She is due at Wellington about September 23. Haring arrived at Auckland from London, via Suez, on Wednesday, the ShawSavill liner lonic will proceed on to Whangarei at day-break on Tuesday, September 7, to continue Homeward loading.
