DUOVHRS’ WUARES.— Resolved that fhe fender of W. A. Grace, ,£sl lls. for erection of two whares in corrugated iron on the River Rank be accepted, and that Mr G. McGregor's offer of a confribution of £1 10s towards the cost of same be also accented, with thanks. COUNTY RATE.—It was resolved tha‘ a demand for a rate of Is levied by the Wanirauui County Council over a reserve vested in the Hoard “lie on the table-." GOVERNMENT GRANTS.— Re-olvcd fhat the chairman and Air Neilson b - authorised to interview the Minister o’ Rublic Works and ask for a grant o £SOO towards the cost of rerairing the damage to the Wanganui river trad: caused by the recent floods, and also fc a grant of .£3OO to extend the Manga howhi track for a further SO chains. RAUITNT ROAD CONTRACT.—MessrOix and Rogle, engineers, wrote report ing that the contractor had ignored them request to complete the contract, and suggested: that -the Board cancel same. Resolved, that the contract be cancelled and the deposit of £b forfeited, and tha' the engineer Ke instructed to let a fresh contract -for the balance of the work. CONTRACT AGREEMENTS—ResoIve-’ that the .chairman and Mr 'Campbell be authorised to sign the contract agreement; for Harper's [Bridge and Mangahowhi R oad, and that tile Board agree to M’ Butler. tiking-D.
