At the river tragedy inquest, Iris Tree and others testified that all wore perfectly solier. Terry and Sir D. Anson exhibited youthful vivacity, larking about. Thev climbed upon and walked along the awning rail, the captain compelling Anson to descend. Anson thou mounted ■seat and dived and swam towards the shore. Ho was heard shouting “Quickly, quickly.'” Thereupon Mitchell attempted to rescue him, but be disappeared. A strong current was running. The jnrv was satisfied that AnsouWvas sober. The party aboard included Lady Di-”ia Manners, and Miss Nancy Cunard. Counsel announced that Anson’s family was providing for Mitchell’s widow and child.
