GREAT BATTING DISPLAY. {Per United Press Association.) TTMARU, March 5. The run-getting yesterday established a Now Zealand and Australian record. There were great displays by • Cody. Crawford, and Trumper. Crawford gave several chances, which would have been accepted bv a first-class field. Tie owned his shoulders to ■ everything. _ and could be likened to Jessop. He hit 14 sixes and 45 fours. Trumper placed a characteristic innings, .scoring; all round the wicket bv pretty strokes. He bit one six ami 21 fours. Noble and Crawlord together scored liftv in nine minutes. Tim howling was good at the start, bu T tier batsmen broke it up, and then did what they liked.
