Dr. McLean, bacteriologist, and Mr Hurley, photographer, of the Mawson expedition, have returned to Sydney. Dr. McLean added a few details to what is already known. He said the story was a long one, and was not for him to tell. When Dr. Mawson'h book came out they would be able to read the whole thing. Amongst other important discoveries were the nests of Antarctic-petrels, which had never before lieen found, six Doss seals, and a very rare sjiecies of whale. By dndging, many rare and new specimens wore obtained. AN INTERESTING ANNOUNCEMENT Received March 5, 10 a.m. ADELAIDE, March 5. The Aurora returns to Hobart to await orders. Dr. Mawson shortly visits England, in connection with the expedition. His forthcoming marriage with Miss Delprat. daughter of the general manager of the Broken Hill Proprietary mine, is announced.
