In the Supreme Court to-day judgment was given in a case involving the powers of the executive of the Wellington \\ hal f Labourers' Union to operate on the funds of the Union in the Rank of New Zealand. In consequence of a protest by several members of the Union agaimt the bank making payments without the authority of a legally cons' Ruled meeting of the Union the Rank declined to pay, and an originating summons was brought. The Chief Justice held that the executive could withdraw funds for ordinary expenses, as the directors of companies ordinarily do.
