CHRISTCHURCH, June 23

Tbe Kaiapoi Shipping and Trading Company have received advice from Captain Scott that the coastal- steamer Kairaki was hauled off the spit at Karamea on this morning's tide by her own steam and the use of a strong'.-.teel hawser. The -teainer came off' undamaged, and is now at the wharf. It is understood that some of the cargo of timber was jettisoned when the vessel went aground on Friday, hut a good deal will he recoverable.
