THE EGMONT E.C. MEETING. All arrangements for the winter meeting of the Egmont Racing Club to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, have been completed. The acceptances received for the first day’s racing are very satisfactory, and some excellent racing is assured. Tf the weather is favourable the gathering sh.ould be a big success, and doubtless a largo nulnber of Wanganui sportsmen will journey to Hawera to attend the meeting. In another column it is announced that a train will ’eave hero at 6.40 a.ra. each day for the racecourse,'■leaving' again on the return journey at 4.20 for AVangamii.
