PERSONAL.
Captain J. Duigan, attached to the headquarters staff in Wellington, undervent an operation for apiiendicitis yesterday, and is progressing favourably. Mr W. A. Leitch, who has had ch a roe of the local branch of the Union Hank during Mr S. J. Cordon’s absence ii Auckland, loft for Wellington to-day. Mi Gordon has resumed dutv.
Dr. T. W. Wilkin, M 8., Ch.B., F.R.C.S. Ed., of Hamilton, intends commencing the practice of his profession in Wanganui next month. He has already taken a house at the corner of Wicksteed and Ingcslre Streets. Dr. Wilkin is well and favourably known in the district he is leaving, having been in charge of the Waikato Hospital during Dr. Douglas' absence in 1907; since then he has taken a trip to the Old Country, and will come to Wanganui with the experience gained at tlie Londou and Edinburgh hospitals.
