Care would have to be taken , to secure practical methods without harrassing farmers. The quest ion of amending the quarantine regulations to allow of the importation of paremed sloe!; {including dairy cattle) at less expense to owners was now receiving careful attention. In reply to a question, the Prime Minister r aid Mr. Clifton had been investigating as to (ho most suitable localities for the South Island Experimental Farms, anil immediately a report came in they would establish farms. The Prime Minister also said there was a very profitable market for New Zealand butter in Vancouver. During the season the prices realised bad been good and 1207 tons hud been shipped there. Reports spoke in terms of high praise of the quality.
