ALLEGED STABBING.

FRACAS ON A BARQUE. (Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, July 22. A fracas on the Norwegian barque Duncrag, on Friday night, resulted in a man named Charles Swanson receiving some severe injuries to his face. It was alleged that, a knife was used, and the injuries were of such a serious nature that it was found necessary by Dr. Henry to insert stitches. As the result of the occurrence. Julius Jorgenson, a sailor on the vessel, was charged at the Magistrate's Court, before Mr W. G. Riddell, S.M., yesterday morning with assaulting Swanson md causing him actual bodilv harm. On the application of sub-inspector Sheehan t; remand was granted until Monday afternoon.
