SEAMEN'S STRIKE.
TRADE AT CARDIFF PARALYSED. 100 Vessels Idle. Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. LONDON, July 21. Work at Cardiff ia at a standstill, and a hundred vessels have been rendered idle. The Lord Mayor conferred with the shipowners, who subsequently made proposals which the men considered. The Lord Mayor is hopeful that these proposals will form tho basis of a settlement. All Chinese laundries were attacked at night, and one of them was burnt. The dockers at Barry have struck.
