AlcCallum applying to be allowed to hand over his Tckomai Road contract in half-mile lengths.— Resolved that he be informed that the Board regret they are unable to vary terms of contract, and cannot therefore accede to the request. From Dix and Marchant reporting on various road enn(raels.—Resolved that Messrs Ross and Speed i.o authorised to sign' agreements for contracts rc Alangahowhi, Raupiu. and Waipapa Roads. From A. C. Alaiiniiigton, engineer, icj orliug on contract No. 4, Wanganui River Road (loft bank).—Resolved that, in accordance with engineer's recommendation, u progress payment of £203 be made. AIATAONGAONGA ROAD BOARD Resolved that the chairman and clerk go into the question of adjusting accounts with, the Atataougaouga Road Board. INSPECTION OF ' SALVED GOVERNAIENT GRANT CONTRACTS.—ResoIved that in future the foreman be instructed lo inspect these contracts, as suggested by the Engineer. ACCOUNTS.—Accounts amounting to £987 IGs 4d were iia.v-cd for payment. MNANCLVL.—The bank pass-books were laid oa the tabic, showing the following credit balances —General account, £559 3d: TV Komai loan account, ,£1384 17; s d: Parihn-iiiau loan account, <£2lll 19s Bd. BA-LAWS,—Re-lived that a not ilienthm be inserted in local newspapers that the Board intend to enforce the new by-laws on and after July 20, 191 I.
