LEAKY DESTROYERS.
Press Association—Telegraph.— Copyright. Received July C, 1.5 p.m. ' LONDON, July 5. Seven destroyers of the Acorn class arrived at Portland leaking badly as tho result of steam trials in which they attained 28 knots, but which strained tho rivets, admitting water into tho oil hunkers, rendering the oil useless. It is believed the hulls are unable, to stand the constant: vibration of the engines when at full power in a rough sea.
