A maiority of the Dublin Corporation, at an informal meeting, repudiated the Lord Mayor's claim to represent the city in receiving the King,and instructed the City Treasurer to retain the mace ana sword until the next Council meeting. Hie resolution was forwarded to the King and Lord Lieutenant.
