THE COURT RESERVES JUDGMENT

Mr Donnelly also briefly addrefwed the Court on behalf of the prisoner. .Mr Stringer, for the Crown, admitted ‘hat the case was governed by the principles enunciated in the cases cited by Mr ■! n -cil. and then proceeded to show, from .lie evidence, that the iury had ample evidence upon which to found their verdict of manslaughter. Continuing, he submitted that Cue facts proved certainly called upon the prisoner for an explanation, in the absence of which the jury were en titled to infer him guilty.'
