SURTAX TO CEASE TO-DAY.
(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON. March 31
The surtax of 1 per cent, imposed on the 23rd of November, 1909, on tobacco, cigarettes, and cigars and of 21 per cent, on all other dutiable goods ceases to-day, the end of the financial year. One result of the impending change lias beci the filling of the bonds y.'ith all sorts of dutiable goods, which will uot bo cleared till tomorrow. 1
