The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., Palmerston North, report afi follows: At Palmerston North on Thursday we had a moderate entry of sheep and a small yarding of cattle. Sheep sold at late rates, and a good inquiry existed for cattle. We had a good clearance at the following rates:— Sheep.—Cull lambs, 3s 3d; medium lambs, 6s 7d to 7s 3d; forward lambs, 8B 4d; aged ewes, 4s jd to 5s Id: store ewes. 7s 3d; forward ewes, 9s 6d; 2-tooth wethers, 12s; Romney rams, 2 to 2£ gns. Cattle. —Wcaners, small, 235; weaner heifers, good, 355; 13-month steers. £2 9s; forward cows, £4 9s; springing co.ws, =£6. DALGETY AND CO.'S REPORT. PALMERSTON N., March 30. At cur Palmerston sale this day there was a fair entry of cattle and a small yarding of sheep. All sold with the exception of two small pens of cattle.
