Anscombe, architect, Dunedin, secured first'and second prizes in the recent competition open to New' Zealand architects for competitive • designs for Girls’ High School, Dunedin, costing ,£13,300, Messrs Crichton and McKay, architects, Wellington,' being third. Mr Anscombe, who is a graduate of the International Correspondence' Schools in the complete architectural course, . also secured first prize for his design of. the School of Mines, Otago, which cost £5500, and for the Y.M.C.A.
