SHOOTING. For the information of officers commanding local companies and Defence Cadets, the following target fixtures, etc., will be carried out this week:— Targets. —Highland Eifles, Nos. 3 and 4 ; Wanganui Rifles, 5 and 6; Irish Rifles, 7; Guards, 8 and 9; Defence Cadets, 13 and 14. Markers.—Thursday: Sergeant Porteouh. Saturday. McCulloch, Dnnklcy, Cole, Koanc, Hoffmann, Singleton. Range Officers.—Thursday, Captain Hayser; Saturday, Captain (Junningham. Trench N.C.O.—Saturday, Q.M.S. Stewart. Hour to commence shooting, 1.45 p.m. each day. Note.—ln order to facilitate the management of the shooting, competitors are requested to be on the range at the time lined to commence firing. WANGANUI RIFLES, MEULI CUP. The above corps has held the first competition for the trophy donated by Mr N. Meuli, the Westport Coal Co.’s prize, aiid also rash prizes being competed for at the same time. Lance-Corpl.
